DSA test booking problems - 07 Nov 2009Many ADIs and their learners are having problems booking driving tests at the moment. Phone calls are rejected (after wading through all the interminable menus). If lucky, users are asked to use the online booking service. The online booking service is successful around one time in ten, with the other nine attempts failing, according to DIDU members experiences this week. Although DIDU is in contact with the DSA, it seems a short term solution is not going to happen. Individually, a call to the DSA headquarters may help them realise the scale of the problem: DSA Nottingham 0115 936 6666 or an email: customer.services@dsa.gsi.gov.uk Calling the "official" customer services number (practical tests) on 0300 200 1122 will probably result in a failed call, and clog the lines even further. Please use the comments link at the end of this post if you have any tips, advice or thoughts on booking tests. Update - The DSA website has at last acknowledged that there is a problem. 11 Nov 2009 - The system seems to be working again, now. |
