On August 31st 2011, the following theory test centres will close:
Basingstoke, Bath, Birkenhead, Clydebank, Colchester, Dunfermline, Durham, Motherwell, Runcorn, Solihull and Workington.
The DSA state that the closures are "Due to over-capacity within its network of theory test centres," and that "The DSA relies for income on the fees it receives from customers and it has a duty to spend that money responsibly."
Of course, closing test centres is not done because savings will be made at the expense of test candidate's convenience.
