Did you know that in 2010 the DSA intends to make all accompanying drivers sit in the back of the car during driving tests?

Full Up!Full Up!This raises all sorts of issues, from the need to adjust tyre pressures, to the right of a candidate to go on test unaccompanied.

The forum here on DIDU has been full of lively debate, and the committee have been in discussion with the DSA, but Dave, over at UKDIC, has started a petition - well done Dave!

No-one is debating the benefit of sitting in on tests generally, but if you don't want to be forced into it, head over to the petition and make your voice heard.

If you don't, you could be sitting in the back of your Fiat 500 with a supervising examiner for a very cosy 45 minutes!

Do you really want to sit in on EVERY test come October next year?

At the moment, theres under a thousand signatures, and we need lots more, unless you are one of the 42,000 odd who are apethetic and are prepared to accept it.

Am fully in favour of sitting in on tests. Always try to do it already. All I need is a petition to sign!
