Five new guides about becoming a motorcycle instructor and training provider have been published on Business Link. They are:

• Becoming a motorcycle instructor
• Becoming an approved training body (ATB)
• Elements of an approved training course for compulsory basic training (CBT)
• CBT assessment for motorcycle instructors
• Direct access scheme assessment for motorcycle instructors

ATB manual published

The ATB manual has also been published. It gives detailed information for ATBs and instructors about the processes and what they must do to ensure that they meet the legal requirements.
The content of the manual must be made available to all instructors within every organisation and should be read in conjunction with the conditions of appointment under which ATBs are authorised.
